My Favorite 6 in Two Years of Chennai Life

Before coming to Chennai for higher studies, my one and only favorite place is Coimbatore. I had never stayed out apart from my Home. I took my PG Course as a weapon to travel long miles from my Home for my Career. Indeed, I succeeded too. My Name card has changed from Reserved to Foodie and Talkative. I feel grateful to Chennai city for helping me to Transform myself into an Optimistic young Lady!!

The Grand Mall, Velachery

Situated in Velachery, the Hub of Chennai, The Grand Mall is a compact Shopping mall widely known for Chennai people through PVR cinemas. As my Workplace and Hostel was nearby, I regularly visit the Grand Mall weekly once. I feel delighted wandering nook and corner of the Mall. It has 4 floors with Top brand shops. My favorite shop was “The Joint” where you can get Organic Tea and good Sandwiches. I watched 2 Tamil movies with my Friends and that was an amazing Experience.

Senthoor

Personally, I like senthoor hotel because I often have Breakfast with my Friend. It located opposite to the Savoury Sea Shell Restaurant. We like the morning breakfast combo, that too, Food shared is Happiness doubled. You can find good Combos and Evening Chats in senthoor. In fact, I named my FB page as “Onion Rings” after conceiving a Snacks item from Senthoor.

Sathyam

The best place to watch the Good movies. We usually go for sathyam monthly once. It is located in Royapettah, very nearer to DMS bus stop. We had ridiculous Experiences during the movie like Maya with Onion Flavored Popcorns!!  As it was nearer to my Hostel during my PGDiploma, we frequently visit Sathyam for its good ambiance and effects. Wanna Watch Good Movies? Sathyam will be the Best Choice.

Express Avenue

One among the largest Mall in Chennai, it has lots and lots of Shops and good Food Court. I personally like Big Bazaar, MAX and food court. Bored in Weekends? Take a visit to EA enjoy Window shopping with a sip of Coffee in CCD. Inox is an added Essence. EA is the Best hang out place for us during Weekend.

Mylapore Temple

Mylapore Temple is my favorite temple in Chennai, where you can find many foreigners equally comparing other places in the City. This temple was built during the Period of Tuluva Dynasty.  I feel a kind of calmness visiting this Historical temple. Especially, I like the Prashadham, a Sakkarai Pongal and Puliyodharai which will be delicious to the core!!

Semmozhi Park

It is built during the period of Dr. Kalaignar as a momentum of Semmozhi Manadu. It is a good park where you can find many Green trees which eradicate the existence of Sun rays. It was a well-maintained park with good snacks facility. It is the Best place for family and friends, especially for Students.
