A Picture Perfect Birthday

Birthdays are always special to us. There was a time, I take few oaths on every Birthday and I regret not following it by the next year. Let me tell you the graph of my Birthday. Until my 4th birthday, my Family call for a party with 25 to 30 members, Snacks, 2-tier cakes and a photo shoot. I was always dressed in a new Pink frock, a plait surrounded by Jasmine flower, Eyetex kajal and I don’t omit to shower a blush!! The possibilities of the Birthday gifts (then) are Silver Kudam, Tiffin box, personalized gifts, a doll, etc.

After that, I didn’t have those boasting celebrations and I was just counting my years with the Gift money, a Chocolate box and a new Birthday outfit.

As I narrated earlier, previous 3 birthdays were splendid and unbelievable. This year, it was my Soma who adorned my Birthday week by presenting me a Smart phone. 

Yup!! Selfie Gaya is back to form!!

The day before my Birthday, one of my good friends, Arvy bestowed few words on a Blog to motivate me. It was my best ever motivation I could say.

I wondered when I heard about the competition between my blood mate and granny in wishing me at 12!! My Granny succeeded!!

Friendship is about Feelings and it is not about how long we chat or converse. I must thank my friend Paul and Archu(Evergreen) for their on-time wishes.

Gaya Birthday

Meanwhile in my Hostel at 11:55PM,

I was awake as my roomie was narrating Sudeep Nagarkar’s “She swiped right into my Heart" and she concluded the story by 10:45 PM. I was lying with the tones of excitement about my day. 5minutes were left to strike 12, when somebody sprinkled water on my face. I was stuck and I could also hear the noise of the cupboard and water flow of the tap left open. I was terrified and called my roomie to look after that strange situation. She made me calm by telling few possible excuses. I did notice the Candlelight when I checked my neighbors for support. I opened the door and found my Neighbors standing with a Pineapple Ice cake!! When they sang “Happy Birthday”, my roommates Piyusha and Gayathri joined them. I was amazed as well as trembled because of that spooky situation.

After cutting the Cake, my roomies kept several challenges and competed with me to defeat me, so that; I can do funny tasks as a punishment. Right from bursting balloons, eating beetroot, dancing, and lot more. Finally, Roomies give me a Gift as I satisfied them with all my tasks. It was an Orange kurta, probably my first kurta in that color.

*It was fit and I looked adorable on the day after Diwali.

I was all awake the whole night out of excitement, scrolling newsfeeds, statuses and Blog-my Gift. By morning I received many calls and messages from my Friends. After having the breakfast in Aryaas, we headed towards my office in our Pegasus (FZ)!

I received the warm wishes from my colleagues as Aishu, my friend wished in the Group chat and other followed it. I was delighted to get a Chocolate from my TL, it was unexpected and threw a positive (professional) vibe. I was surprised when my colleague, Rajiv anna failed to wish, even though he was next to my seat. I was perplexed too. 

The day seemed like an Intercity Express with additional coaches. 

My state was like “Physically Present and Mentally Absent” as I couldn’t answer few personal calls. Karthi, my brother added the fuel to my Anger as forgot my Birthday. By the afternoon, I was busy with the calls and my colleagues insisted me to have a lunch. Would I listen?

I was out of the World!! 

When I resumed my work, Shilpa, my friend asked me to come to the 5^th Floor. I had no clue about their surprise. When I outreached the destination, my colleagues were waiting with a Carmel Ice Cake! Presenting the cake, Rajiv Anna wished me Happy Birthday!! We chomped the cake in less than 5 minutes and left for Work. Later Anna presented a Silver coin too.

InfiniX means a lot to me, unlike others, I always admire the days spent and the selfies clicked over there are my all time favorite. The most annoying part of my Birthday is, my infiniX team hardly remembered my Birthday and wished me in the noon (with feasible excuses).

Rolling back to October 11, the time was 8:30 and after coming from the office, I checked Whatsapp for messages.  Eventually, I found the Videos sent by my Best friend Achu!! It was a Video of my Best Friends, wishing me with Achu Amma and Akka. I was beaming with Joy!!

Doughnut Damakka with Bestie!!

It was 06:30PM!! The time which I was longing for had approached and I left for the Supreme Bakers. I was asked to stay there as my well-wisher Vivek wanted to see me. We met him, spent few minutes in discussing about Friends. He bided Good bye, presenting me a Philips Head Phone.

I and Soma departed to Doughnut House to call it a Happier Birthday.  I always agitate about that shop because you will not find doughnuts after 07:30PM. We probably reached there by 7:30 and ordered 2 Doughnuts. I always try to savor a different variety of doughnuts to get familiar with it. 

Unlike other spots, Doughnut House is my all time favorite which has seen both my Happiness and Emotions. It was Today, my Bestie captured my Perfect Open Smile.
